Job Responsibilities:
- Be primarily responsible for the delivery of Code, Developer Testing, Fixing Defects, Regression Tests, Code Reviews and Technical Project Documentation.
- Provide the information including support services to QAs and client support team.
- Consistently deliver project deliverables to agreed schedules without compromising quality.
- Work closely with the team to understand client requirements, delivery schedules and assigned deliverables, including any changes to these. Analyse and promptly communicate required effort, achievability, dependencies and technical risks to the Project Manager or Project Leader.
- Regularly communicate progress on assignments against agreed schedules.
- Closely monitor and fix the defects with the best solutions.
- Assist the Project Manager or Project Leader in identifying measures (including alternative technical designs) to accommodate commercially driven deadlines and prevent slippages.
- May have overall responsibility for timely deliverable and roll-up of status information for managed projects/teams.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- Must possess a minimum of 3+ years working experience in programming and support in the software development industry.
- Deep technical knowledge of C/C++ programming
- Working knowledge of the Memory management, multi-threading
- Working knowledge of Visual Studio (MFC, Win32) and Windows application programming would be advantage
- Having an experience in UNIX, OpenVMS (Open Virtual Memory System) would be an advantage
- Having an experience in SQL coding would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of service oriented architectures would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of the architectures, trends, and emerging technologies would be an advantage
- Solid understanding of the MVC design pattern and Object-Oriented-Programming would be an advantage
- Good financial knowledge relevant to the trading business, or experience in a securities brokerage business would be an advantage
- Strong time management skills and multi-tasking skills with an ability to maintain focus on each item and able to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving
- Results-oriented, able to make and stick to commitments
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision while still being able to work within a team environment
- Experience in mentoring and guiding less experienced team members would be an advantage
