POSITION: HSE Advisor
LOCATION: Bangkok

Role Purpose:
To prevent injury to personnel, damage to plant and equipment, fire, ensuring environmental protection and site security. To develop, implement and review the Site Specific Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Plan and associated procedures ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements.
Main responsibilities:
- To support local management to implement HSE procedures at the project sites.
- To undertake Safety Observation Tours and audit implementation of existing procedures
- To identify gaps in implementation and to define corrective actions with local management
- To feedback improvements in existing procedures, and flag additional procedure needs
- Report OHS metrics and audit findings
- To support local units with safety plans and other customer required safety documentation
- Ensure compliance with the site specific HSE plan.
- Prepare and implement a HSE awareness program.
- Set up and administer a Site HSE induction training program and assist with other training as required.
- Advise other site personnel on all aspects of HSE applicable to site activities.
- Co-ordinate activities with the Construction staff, ensuring that HSE requirements are implemented, especially with respect to interfaces with other Subcontractors.
- Ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments received, reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
- Ensure that Accidents/Incidents are recorded, investigated and analyzed.
- Prepare and submit a monthly HSE report to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain appropriate records and documentation for the duration of the Project.
- Monitor certification body audit finding closure in a timely manner.
- Submission of project specific documentations along with tenders.
Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in occupational Safety and Health
- Local certification to work as a safety officer
- Fluency in English is essential
- Be an effective communicator with the ability to motivate a network of people to drive HSE initiatives.
- Qualified OHSAS 18001 and 14001 Lead Auditor preferable
- Patient and calm in order to change H&S culture as it takes a long time to be changed.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a diplomatic approach
- Knowledge of Thailand Labor Laws
- Requires excellent understanding of health and safety in manufacturing / Construction / Electrical and OHS industries and the role a safety system plays in managing the overall risk profile of a sites
- Must be a team player with ability to drive results
- Must provide practical “hands-on” experience in developing and managing health, safety and environmental systems with the ability to dig into site specific details and develop solutions to complex safety issues
