We are currently looking for Logistic Specialist for our client who is world leading distributor of chemical and agricultural products.
POSITION: Logistic Specialist
LOCATION: Prathumwan, Bangkok
JOB TYPE: Permanent
SALARY RANGE: 90,000 – 120,000 (up to experience)
Job Scope:
Lead and manage logistics operations (import /export, domestic distribution, Warehousing) ensuring safety, quality and service meet business need timely in an efficient and effective way while ensuring regulatory compliance with national and international regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Understand Business VOC, spend and develop Logistics capability to meet business need.
- Carry out the required minimum Distribution Safety programs annually to ensure all distribution activities are in compliance with corporate and local regulatory requirements, and ensure country Logistics providers understand the hazards associated with the company product they are handling as well as Company Safety Requirements
- Support Category Management Buy team by engaging in local discussion with nominated suppliers on rates, contract terms & conditions and get the finalized contract signed/endorsed per local requirements ; lead new supplier implementation as required.
- Gather/confirm market intelligence or potential supplier candidates at country level and support local assessment as required.
- Manage logistics operations using standard logistics processes, tools and initiatives and ensure maximum leverage of the country buy and alignment with mode strategies
- Ensure Import export and domestic distribution & transport services meet corporate core values of safety, ethics, regulatory compliance and high environmental standards and implement training and audit programs to continually upgrade performance.
- Oversee and communicate regulatory changes with the development of best practices and act as a primary contact on all matters on import export regulations and monitor compliance metrics and issues, leading improvement actions issues that impact import export compliance
- Lead supplier management by managing 3rd party logistics service providers with the establishment of the process of ensuring quality and setting SOP & KPI to monitor performance and drive continuous process improvement by working with suppliers and internal customers
- Drive cost savings in import and export, especially from FTA and duty drawback ; Work with logistics service provider and internal customers to identify optimization opportunities for total cost reduction.
- Remain first point of contact at local level for solving operation disputes, identify root cause and setup action plan by working with external suppliers and internal customers.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree preferably in supply chain
- 6-10 year of experiences in logistics including import and export operations
- Strong knowledge in logistics and supply chain (domestic & international)
- Expertise in international trading and logistics and regulations related to import and export
- Good command of English
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills
