Engine Assembly Section Manager

Position:     Engine Assembly Section Manager

Location:     Rayong, Thailand

Job Type:     Permanent

Salary Range:     80,000 – 100,000 THB (Up to experience)

Benefits:     Yearly bonus, Provident fund, Five days’ work

RESPONSIBILITY

  •  of the team members in the engine production of quality prescription eyewear in accordance with work instructions and company policy to ensure a quality product delivered on time
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards as required by law and company policy
  • Implements job related training for all heat treat employees to his/her department
  • Coaches and provides technical expertise to resolve heat treat processing issues and creates and ensures corrective action are implemented
  • Responsible for creating a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards
  • Manage the scheduling of production: set work schedules, provide training and coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and set departmental goals and expectations
  • Ensures methodology and process (quality, safety…) are adhering to and not compromised
  • Supervisory responsibility includes management of employee performance, hiring, discipline, development and recourse planning
  • Acts as a member of the management team and performs other duties as directed by position or required by the Manufacturing Director
  • Insure the appropriate level of accountability for facility goals and objectives at the team leaders and team members’ levels
  • Plans and monitors capacity maximization for the engine department
  • Monitors and take appropriate timely improvement action to meet production quality and quantity
  • Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control, and continuous process improvement tools to meet or exceed the facility key operating statistics
  • Develops, monitors and implements departments budgets and production forecasts
  • Facilitate team leader workflow management, workforce scheduling, and team members’ placement to ensure the facility and company goals are successfully met or exceeded
  • Develops, analyses, and presents monthly reports, including but not limited to, forecasts, productivity, and safety
  • Assigns controls and monitors required recourses to achieve established schedules
  • Conduct, lead, or implement the appropriate process audits; the audits will identify the need for the appropriate containment, corrective, and preventive actions, leading to minimizing or eliminating process deviations and non-conforming product root causes
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering preferably mechanical or related field with background in vocational and diploma in machine shop will be advantage
  • 5+ years department management and 3 years direct supervisory experience in automotive industry
  • Main experience in engine assembly line
  • Five to eight years in a manufacturing leadership capacity with quantifiable results
  • Demonstrated experience working hands on in a production manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Ms. Office (solid Excel skill is required)
  • Statistical analysis (Lean/six sigma), ISO/TS 16949, APQP, FMEA, MSA, Kaizen and TPM
  • Excellent verbal and written in English

  • Proven facilitation and leadership skills
  • Ability to interact in an effective manner with all levels of the organization
