POSITION: Financial Reporting & Consolidation Manager
LOCATION: Thonglor, Bangkok
JOB TYPE: Permanent
SALARY RANGE: 80,000 THB (up to experience)
REPORTING TO: CFO

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The group accounting department is responsible for the accounting and consolidation of tax of all Company group entities globally. With businesses involved in a range of sectors and geographies there is a high degree of complexity in the management of group financials.
The position is responsible for managing the group’s consolidation process, set the group accounting guidelines and oversee compliance to these guidelines. The position will also lead the group statutory audit annually, working with external auditors.
Internal/External Interactions:
Internal
- Report to the Chief Accounting Officer
- Work closely with colleagues in accounting & finance
- Collaborate with in-country CFOs and/or Divisional Management
- Work with accounting department to ensure Group accounting standards are followed and understood
- Coordinate with Treasury to provide financial results to banks
External
Functional Responsibilities:
Consolidation and Financial Reporting:
- Produce group financial reporting to senior management within deadlines
- Verification of reporting adjustments, insuring correct application of the group accounting policies
- Provide explanations and analytical review of group financials
- Ensure monthly consolidation reports are completed in agreed timelines
- Manage the distribution of company’s results and analysis for Board and Shareholder Meetings
- Manage the annual statutory group audit to ensure that they are completed within agreed timelines and audit reports are available for the board
- Develop and implement strong financial internal control process across the various functional areas of the company
General:
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and prepare monthly/quarterly standard reports for management
- Perform gap analysis with the intention to suggest ideas for reporting processes improvement managing the group’s consolidation process,
- Set the group accounting guidelines and oversee compliance, ensuring they comply with international standard
- Regularly update group accounting guidelines in line with changes in legal requirements
Knowledge Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date on Accounting Principles and reporting standards
- Stay up-to-date with developments in business to ensure process and reporting standards are aligned to business needs
- Act as a “Subject Matter Expert” to the team and colleagues in matter relating to consolidation and reporting
- Proactively support the company’s brand and employer brand
- Support the development of a learning culture by engaging in collaboration and knowledge sharing through the company’s collaboration and L&D tools
Financial Responsibilities:
- Support in the control of annual department budget and overall accounting spending in the Group
HR Responsibilities:
- Motivate and inspire the team to obtain results, by constructively connecting the interest of the individual employees, the community and organization
- Continuous development of people so that internal transfer and promotions become the ‘norm’ and external recruitment is focused at the most junior levels in the department
- Participate actively in the long-term learning or development of others on the basis of a good understanding of their needs and potentials and address performance issues
- Work with the team to set and achieve annual performance objectives for the department and all individuals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Male/Female; Thai nationality
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
- ACCA or CPA is a must
- MBA desirable
- Thai nationality with good communication and presentation skills in Thai and English
- Experience in managing group financial reconciliation and consolidation, ideally in a complex organization structure or company that have multiple companies/branches
- 8 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, whereby work experience with Big 4 or International Company preferred
- Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Advance knowledge of working with financial consolidation reporting software (ideally IBM TM1 Cognos or Hyperion Financial Management)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
- Experience with Financial Statement Consolidation
- Experience with Autoline Kerridge ERP
- Experience with Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and hands-on analytical capability
- Ability to set and pursue aggressive goals, drive for results and demonstrate a strong commitment to organizational success
