Demand Planner – ASEAN

The Demand Planner is a key role in the Agricultural Business Planning process. He/She is the primary person for the development of business critical demand plans through communication and shared responsibility with market segment, sales territory, or major sales channel leaders. He/she has the cross-functional knowledge with an ‘external’ emphasis and deep understanding of the markets, downstream customers and distribution network in the team. He/She analyzes demand trends, challenges input vs. assumptions, and follows-up on actions from steps of the demand processes. The Demand Planner has a specific role determined by the Demand Manager in prioritizing demand when supply is lacking to ensure customer service is optimized based on sales & marketing strategies.

LOCATION:      Bangkok

JOB TYPE:       Permanent

BUSINESS:     Agriculture Division

SALARY RANGE:     up to experience

Responsibilities:

  • Leads Multi-View and monthly Demand Review process
  • Data analysis – identify trends, variances, and gaps
  • Develop agenda to address and resolve open issues
  • Ensure Assumptions-based forecast.  Incorporate MACRO Plan Assumptions into Forecast.
  • Effectively communicates approved Demand plan to all stakeholders
  • Develops  (with  Marketing  Managers)  Demand  Sensing  and  assumption  based  Scenario
  • Planning (Risks and Opportunities / Upsides and Downsides)
  • Manage and track Potential Lost Sales (missed sales opportunities due to Supply constraints, quality issues, lack of credit, incorrect forecasting, or other issues)
  • Works closely with Marketing and Sales Team to identify and eliminate bias and sources of forecast error
  • User SAP tools to analyze and edit Consensus Demand Plan.
  • Develops (with Demand Manager) Demand Priorities and Customer Entitlements Policies
  • Supports Order Management / Abnormal Demand processes as key participant in Decision Escalation Process

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or other undergraduate degree with experience, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ field sales (account rep), customer facing planning (vmi, drp, finished goods), customer service, supply chain or marketing role.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and computer skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Self-motivation, strong discipline and organization skills
  • Strong desire to develop
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results
  • Excellent planning, prioritization and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability working on teams and developing strong team interactions
